Elizabeth Craven

Elizabeth Craven is an out and about lesbian who loves the Cumberland Mountains, Uncle Dave Macon Days, and Southern cooking, even though she now lives above the Mason-Dixon Line. She graduated from Tennessee Technological University and Princeton University with degrees in history. At Princeton, she delivered the first gay rights speech by a lesbian student. In St. Louis she wrote a monthly magazine column, LesTalk. Elizabeth has worked as a college instructor, community organizer, and professional news clip reader. She makes her living in information technology and shares her life in St. Louis with S. Paige Canfield, another Tennessean. "Almost Heaven" is written for and dedicated to Ann Velasco -- "she who listens."
